It's all about energy efficiency. Not the sexiest topic in the debate on future sustainable energy supply. But nonetheless, much can and should be done to improve the efficiency of production and consumption of energy. This is clear from research done by the World Energy Council in cooperation with the French energy and environment agency - ADEME. The recent Energy Union Package also puts great emphasis on energy efficiency.
World Energy Council in Denmark presents the report "Energy Efficiency: A straight path towards energy sustainability" at our member meeting April 20. It presents and evaluates energy efficiency policies in 96 countries and identifies policies that work, and what does not work. The presentation is followed up with contributions from stake holders from research, industry and authorities.
