PROGRAMME

Presentation of upcoming WEC report on world rankings for sustainability

The global sustainability index 2015, that will be launched by World Energy Council (WEC) in November 2015, rate 130 countries on their ability to provide the country with a secure and environmental sustainable energy supply to an affordable price.

From a position as the world’s number two in 2013, Denmark was ranked as number 5 in 2014 and a sneak preview of the 2015 report show that the Danish downward slide continue.

The long-term goal for Danish energy policy is that the entire energy supply is to be covered by renewable energy by 2050. How will this goal influence the future Danish ranking?

WEC Denmark invite to a presentation and discussion of the rating:

  • How is the rating performed?
  • Why does the rating of Denmark slide down?
  • What can be done to reverse the trend?
  • What are the consequences for our green image and export of green technology?
